I’m a Lisbon-based photographer capturing engagement and couple sessions in a way that feels natural, honest and deeply personal. My work is rooted in documentary photography — focused on connection, movement and emotion rather than stiff poses or forced moments.

Whether you’re celebrating an engagement, planning a pre-wedding session, or simply wanting to document your relationship while visiting Portugal, my approach is relaxed and intuitive. I create space for you to be yourselves, guiding you gently when needed and stepping back when the moment calls for it. Portugal is a country full of contrast — light and shadow, quiet corners and vibrant streets, old textures and modern energy. It’s the perfect backdrop for sessions that feel alive and meaningful.

I photograph engagement and couple sessions for both locals and couples visiting Portugal from abroad. Some sessions mark a specific milestone — an engagement, an anniversary, a proposal — while others exist simply to celebrate a chapter of life together. There is no single reason to book a session, and no right or wrong way to experience it.

What matters most is creating photographs that reflect your dynamic, your connection and your story, in a place that holds meaning for you.

What to Expect from Your Engagement or Couple Session

From the moment you enquire, my focus is on making the experience feel easy, personal and stress-free.

Before the session, you’ll receive a client guide with practical tips on what to wear, how to prepare and what to expect. I’ll also send you a short questionnaire, which helps me understand you better — your story, your dynamic and what matters most to you.

On the day itself, we’ll move at a relaxed pace. You’ll never be rushed, and there’s no pressure to “get it right.” We’ll walk, talk, explore and pause when something feels right. I’ll guide you when needed, but the session is ultimately about your connection, not the camera.

How far in advance should we book our session?

For the best availability, especially during peak seasons, I recommend booking at least 2 months in advance. This ensures we can secure your preferred date, location, and time of day for the best light. That said, I always leave some room for last-minute sessions, so don’t hesitate to get in touch — I’m happy to accommodate whenever possible.

What locations do you shoot most often?

Lisbon offers a variety of beautiful settings for engagement and couple sessions. Popular spots include Alfama, Bairro Alto, riverside areas along the Tagus, and nearby coastal towns like Sintra and Cascais. I’ll help you choose the perfect location based on your style, the season, and the story you want to tell. Since I currently live in Lourinhã, the West Coast — including Santa Cruz, Lourinhã, and Peniche — is one of my favourite areas to shoot, offering incredible coastal light and scenery.

Can we change outfits during the session?

Yes! A second outfit change is possible and can add variety to your session. I recommend 1–2 outfits that feel natural, comfortable, and photograph well together. I’ll guide you on colours, textures, and movement so your photos look cohesive, effortless, and timeless.

What happens if it rains on our session day?

I monitor forecasts closely and prioritize your comfort and the quality of light. If the weather isn’t ideal, we can reschedule or adapt the session to sheltered locations while still capturing beautiful, natural imagery. Rain can even create intimate, unique moments in your photos. If the session cannot safely take place due to severe weather or safety concerns, it will be cancelled and your retainer fully refunded.

When is the best time of day for photos?

The ideal time is usually golden hour, roughly an hour before sunset, for soft, warm light. Early morning can also work beautifully, especially for quieter streets and less crowded locations. I’ll guide you on the best timing based on your chosen location, the season, and the mood you want for your session.

How to Book

To book your session, fill out the contact form below. The more details you share, the better — it helps me understand what you’re looking for & how I can best support you.

Within 24 hours, you’ll receive an email with access to your client portal, where you’ll find your contract and the different packages you can choose from. An online signed contract and a 30% retainer, payable via Wise or bank transfer, are required to reserve a date. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session.

I intentionally limit the number of sessions I book, usually no more than one per day, to allow flexibility and give each couple my full attention.
